Take part in the exciting Moment of Art quick drawing competition! We invite artists to a unique creative event on the spectacular coast of the Costa Brava. The competition offers participants a quick and intense opportunity to capture the beauty of the Costa Brava on their canvas. Participants can choose from picturesque rocky cliffs, coves, beaches, woodlands, or architectural structures for their work.
After the contestants’ work, a jury evaluates the entries and selects the winners, who will be awarded at a ceremony. During their free time, participants can interact with other creative people, attend workshops and enjoy the beauty of the Costa Brava.

You only have 1 day to complete the contest work! We will stamp your A3 canvas and show you scenic locations for plein air painting. You will be inspired by the beauty of nature and present your work in front of an international jury.

Sell your works: All works are posted on the contest’s Instagram account with a link to the author’s account. This way, buyers find the authors of the works and purchase them from them directly.

For many artists, the visual arts competition is a unique opportunity to be inspired by the beauty of the Mediterranean and to present their artwork for an international audience. Therefore, finding sponsors who can support young talents might be a great option to make this dream come true.

Costa Brava is the northernmost Mediterranean coast of Spain. In fact, absolutely everything is provided here for a full-fledged creative realization. Mountains covered with pine forests descend to the sea, charming coves with secluded beaches interspersed with picturesque rocky cliffs.
In cozy bays along the Costa Brava coast are located numerous resort towns that provide everything for a good rest.

On your wish we can organize a trip to Tossa de Mar, a small and typically Spanish town with narrow picturesque streets, cozy cathedral square, nestled in a cozy rocky bay surrounded by beaches, cliffs, caves. A majestic medieval fortress towers over the central beach, guarding in the past the Spanish coast from pirate ships.

The Municipal Museum of Tossa that is located in the fortress exhibits the artworks of many artists who had spent their vacations here. Tossa de Mar is a town of romantics, artists and poets. Tourists from all over Europe are attracted by the tranquility and beauty of this place.

This contest gives young artists a sense of creative realization, a great vacation time on the beaches of the Costa Brava and a wonderful excursion program that will make your trip enjoyable.

6 reasons why you need participate in International Contest of fine arts

Two types of participation in the fine art contest:

  1. Participating in the contest;
  2. Non-competitive participation in the festival programme*.

*For those who do not wish to take part in the competition programme and be judged by the jury, but wish to perform within the festival in an open and friendly atmosphere. To exchange experience, attend master classes and take advantage of excursion programmes!

TERMS OF PARTICIPATION
  • The drawing is performed on an A3* canvas, which the Organizer certifies with a stamp.
  • Use any drawing technique with oil, aquarelle, ink, pencils, crayons and other creative materials*.
  • Present no more than 2 competition works.
  • Deadline for work completion is from 10:30 to 19:00.
  • The organizer does not provide any materials for drawing: canvas, oil, aquarelle, ink, pencils, crayons and other materials necessary for the contest works, – all necessary materials the contestant uses his own.
AGE CATEGORIES OF THE PARTICIPANTS
  • I) Under 9 years old
  • II) 10-12 years old
  • III) 13-15 years old
  • IV) 16-19 years old
  • V) 20 to 25 years old
  • VI) over 26 years of age
  • VII) Mixed age category Mixta
THE JURY

The jury staff of the international festival-competition consists of the artists and creative persons from Spain, France, Italy, Canada and Eastern Europe and Asia. The international jury is formed by the organizer of the festival.

The jury has the right:
  • To award not all prizes;
  • To divide the prizes between the performers;
  • Award special prizes to teachers for outstanding achievements;
  • Decide to terminate a performance that is outside the regulations;
  • The Jury evaluates the competitors on a 100 point system, the final result is made up of the average number of points received and the average value of the intermediate evaluations;
  • Decisions of the jury are final and are not the subject to revision.
The Evaluation Criteria: 

▪️ creative individuality and skill of the author;
▪️ mastery of composition techniques;
▪️ mastery of the technique in which the artwork is done;
▪️ originality of the idea and execution;
▪️ coloristic solution.

AWARDS
According to the genres of performance and categories the awards are divided into the groups:
  • — participants who scored up to 70 points become diploma holders;
  • — participants who scored from 70 to 79 points become laureates of the third degree;
  • — participants who scored from 80 to 89 points become the laureates of the second degree;
  • — participants who scored from 90 to 99 points become the laureates of the first degree;
  • — The participants who scored 100 points become the Grand Prize winners of the Contest “Moment of Art”.

*Participants are received diplomas from the founders and organizers of the competition (one per group/nomination).
*Each leader and sponsor of the school receives a letter of thanks on stamped paper of the Kingdom of Spain.
*Each contestant in the group can request a personal diploma and medal for an additional fee (before the competition).

Day 1: Registration

  • Registration of participants and check-in at the hotel from 14:00.
  • 18:00 – dinner
  • Meeting with the competition organizers, explanation of rules and instructions.

Day 2: Choosing a location for the plein air.

Day 3: Competition Day

Day 4: Evaluation and Awarding

  • 8:00 – Breakfast
  • After breakfast, free time for rest or additional plein air and photography. Possibility to participate in workshops or guided tour programmes. Possibility to visit the Salvador Dali Museum in the town of Figueiras.
  • 13:00 – After lunch free time for rest or additional plein air and photography. Possibility to participate in workshops or guided programmes.
  • 19:00 – Dinner.
  • 20:30 – Award ceremony.
  • Free time for congratulations and communication with other artists.

Day 5: End of the competition

  • 8:00 — breakfast;
  • Check out from the hotel before 10:00 am
  • End of the competition.
  • Transfer to the airport, at extra cost.

REGISTRATION TERMS

1. The number of people in the delegation must be at least 5 people;

2. If the Participant requires invitation documentation to apply for visa processing, including hotel reservations, an advance fee of 10% of the amount of the possible minimum invoice (based on accommodation in triple rooms), but not less than 500 euros, is payable. This amount is non-refundable, but it is taken into account in total final invoice and subtracted from it. In case of refusal of visas, this amount can be transferred ONCE, to the balance of another festival selected by the participant, and the organizer provides invitation documentation for the visa request for visas by the Participant.

REGISTRATION TERMS 

1. The number of people in the delegation must be at least 5 people;

2. If the Participant requires invitation documentation to apply for visa processing, including hotel reservations, an advance fee of 10% of the amount of the possible minimum invoice (based on accommodation in triple rooms), but not less than 500 euros, is payable. This amount is non-refundable, but it is taken into account in total final invoice and subtracted from it. In case of refusal of visas, this amount can be transferred ONCE, to the balance of another festival selected by the participant, and the organizer provides invitation documentation for the visa request for visas by the Participant.

REGISTRATION TERMS 

1. The number of people in the delegation must be at least 5 people;

2. If the Participant requires invitation documentation to apply for visa processing, including hotel reservations, an advance fee of 10% of the amount of the possible minimum invoice (based on accommodation in triple rooms), but not less than 500 euros, is payable. This amount is non-refundable, but it is taken into account in total final invoice and subtracted from it. In case of refusal of visas, this amount can be transferred ONCE, to the balance of another festival selected by the participant, and the organizer provides invitation documentation for the visa request for visas by the Participant.

REGISTRATION TERMS

1. The number of people in the delegation must be at least 5 people;

2. If the Participant requires invitation documentation to apply for visa processing, including hotel reservations, an advance fee of 10% of the amount of the possible minimum invoice (based on accommodation in triple rooms), but not less than 500 euros, is payable. This amount is non-refundable, but it is taken into account in total final invoice and subtracted from it. In case of refusal of visas, this amount can be transferred ONCE, to the balance of another festival selected by the participant, and the organizer provides invitation documentation for the visa request for visas by the Participant.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE

- Accommodation in a 3*** hotel or accommodation in a 4**** hotel (5 days / 4 nights)

- For group leaders of 25 people or more, accommodation in a double room at the price of a triple room;
- Diplomas registered with the Spanish representation (one per group/nomination);
- Special engravings on a metal base from the city authorities (for groups of 5 or more).
- Letters of appreciation for group leaders and sponsors on a numbered State Emblem paper of the Kingdom of Spain (included 2 letters).
