Competition Day: Excellence in Every Detail

On June 29, the Municipal Theater of Lloret de Mar (Teatre de Lloret) opened its doors to the contestants.

Following tradition, the Fiestalonia team conducted a special stage warm-up and rehearsal session before the official viewings began. This allowed ensembles to adapt their routines to the main stage, feel the space, and experience the professional dance flooring firsthand.

What followed was an intense 3-hour marathon of grace, athleticism, and pure adrenaline. Contestants gave 100% on stage, demonstrating virtuoso body control, flawless technique, and intricate movement design to secure every single point from the jury.

Distinguished International Jury

Every movement, jump, and emotion was evaluated by an expert panel of European dance legends:

  • Noelia Muñoz Gavilán — Dance and performing arts professor with over 13 years of experience in training dancers and artists. Head of Studies, Ballet, and Jazz teacher in Barcelona.
  • Marcos Martinez — Highly regarded national and international Hip Hop trainer, choreographer, and artist with an impressive portfolio of television shows and major events.
  • Eugènia Mur — Dancer and teacher specializing in jazz and tap. She holds a degree in Choreography and Dance Performance Techniques from the Conservatori Superior de Dansa de l’Institut del Teatre and actively balances her performing career with teaching.
  • Irina Khrebtova — Dancer, teacher, and choreographer. Graduate of the State School of Ballet and former Prima Ballerina in the State Theatre of Opera and Ballet. She has performed as a guest dancer in various productions in Spain and is the founder and artistic director of the dance academy “Alira” in Lloret de Mar.

Star-Led Masterclasses: Leveling Up!

Immediately after the competition viewings, dancers enjoyed two exclusive masterclasses led by the jury members:

  1. Hip Hop with Marcos Martinez — Dancers dived deep into rhythm control, isolation techniques, stage presence, original combinations, and the secrets behind hyping up a crowd.
  2. Jazz with Noelia Muñoz — A focused session on refining technique, clean lines, turns, emotional expression, and dynamic transitions.

Participants walked away with invaluable skills directly from top-tier mentors and a massive boost of artistic inspiration.

Gala Concert & The Grand Prix Triumph

On June 30, the festival moved outdoors to Lloret de Mar’s main city square — Plaça de Pere Torrent.

The Gala Concert was filled with an incredible atmosphere of friendship and unity. Dancers performed free from competition stress, supporting one another under the open sky.

The evening culminated in the grand Award Ceremony. The biggest mystery of the “International Dance Games 2026” season was finally revealed to thunderous applause:

THE GRAND PRIX WINNER of the season was the choreographic ensemble from Kazakhstan — Samga Choreographic Ensemble with their captivating performance “Aq Bayan”! The group won over the jury with their intricate technique, profound storytelling, and seamless synchronization.
