International Festival-Competition « Spring Symphonies » (March, 2026)

Spring 2026 in Lloret de Mar began not only with the blooming of gardens but with the grand resonance of orchestral music. From March 26 to 30, the city hosted Spring Symphonies—a festival that brought together orchestras and musical ensembles from across the globe, filling the Costa Brava coastline with a symphony of talent and inspiration.

Day One: Music Under the Open Sky

The festival kicked off in spectacular fashion with an open-air concert at the central Plaça de la Vila, right in front of the City Hall. On this day, music stepped beyond the walls of concert halls and into the hearts of the public.

Orchestras performed world-famous hits, classical masterpieces with a modern twist, and popular soundtracks. Passersby, tourists, and local residents stopped in their tracks, captivated by the live sound. The square transformed into a unified space of dancing and applause, proving that true music knows no borders or barriers.

Day Two: A Battle of Talents at the Theater

The second day was dedicated to the rigorous competition program at the Lloret de Mar Theater. It was a day of meticulous craftsmanship: the festival’s technical staff worked tirelessly to create the perfect acoustic environment for every ensemble, while the participants gave 100% to showcase their instrumental mastery.

The stage saw a succession of unique groups from Kosovo, Slovakia, the Netherlands, and Turkey. Each brought a piece of their culture, ranging from disciplined European classics to expressive Eastern motifs.

The participants’ artistry was evaluated by an expert jury:

  • Joaquim Piqué (Spain) – Conductor, former director of the legendary Escolania de Montserrat.
  • Joan Carles Capdevila Torné (Spain) – Arranger, composer, and multi-instrumentalist.
  • Sergio Fidemraizer (Argentina/Spain) – Expert in contemporary music and composition.

Gala Concert and the Triumph of Winners

The festival culminated in a grand Gala Concert held late on the evening of March 29. It was a breathtaking show featuring the best performances of the competition alongside special surprises from the Fiestalonia organizers.

The awards ceremony was the most emotional moment: tears of joy, firm handshakes between conductors, and a shared pride in the work accomplished. You can relive these sincere emotions and the powerful energy of the finale by rewatching the live stream on our channel.
