From June 1 to 5, the sunny city of Batumi hosted the international festival-competition BlackSeaFest, organized by Fiestalonia Milenio. For over five years, Georgia has welcomed talented performers, dancers, and musicians from around the world, allowing them to showcase their skills and exchange cultural experiences.
This year, nearly 100 contestants from seven countries participated in the creative battles. Among them were representatives from Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, India, Cyprus, Kazakhstan and Russia.
The esteemed jury members of BlackSeaFest, renowned figures in Georgian culture, were:
- Teimuraz Dolidze: The founder and head of the Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University girls’ ensemble “Tirini”, the founder and leader of the boys’ folk ensemble at the Batumi Culture Center, head of the boys’ folk choir “Iberioni” at the Student Youth Palace in Batumi, laureate of the Memed Abashidze Prize, honored Worker of Art, conductor, and folksinger.
- Kalistate Tsintsadze: Jazzman, the founder and head of the Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University Jazz Big Band, and soloist of the jazz big band at the Batumi Culture Center.
- Merab Dolidze: Knight of the Order of Honored Excellence in Art, Amagdar of Georgian choreography.
The BlackSeaFest in Batumi was a vibrant event that united people from different cultures and nationalities. The results of the competition can be found in the final table:
