The International Dance Games 2025, organized by Fiestalonia Milenio, once again turned the Costa Brava into a true celebration of dance. This year’s festival gathered around 1000 participants from all over the world, including representatives from India, Malaysia, Ireland, UAE, Kazakhstan, Poland, Lithuania, and Ukraine, with several ensembles from each country. Two Days of Competition
Due to the large number of participants, the competitive performances were held over two full days – June 26 and 27 – on the stage of the Lloret de Mar Theater. Solo dancers and ensembles presented diverse choreographic performances, showcasing a variety of dance styles from contemporary and folk to hip hop and open dance.
Esteemed Jury
Participants were evaluated by a highly competent and internationally recognized jury panel:
- Eugènia Mur – Jazz and step dancer and teacher, graduate of the Conservatori Superior de Dansa de l’Institut del Teatre.
- Yulia Kruglyak – First Slavic flamenco performer in Spain with 30 years of experience, acclaimed choreographer and masterclass instructor.
- Marcos Martinez – National and international Hip Hop trainer and choreographer with a vast television portfolio.
- Jose Maria Lopez Santamaria – Dancer and choreographer, graduate of the Barcelona Dance Conservatory, Artistic Director of Baix Montseny Dance Competition.
- Mariam Turkmenbaeva – Professional choreographer, known for her work on “X Factor Ukraine”, “Ukraine’s Got Talent”, “So You Think You Can Dance”; frontwoman of Quest Pistols Show.
- David Dzhaparidze – President and founder of Fiestalonia Milenio, international jury member.
Masterclasses and Cultural Exchange
As part of the festival, Marcos Martinez conducted dynamic Hip Hop masterclasses, introducing participants -many of whom specialize in contemporary and folk dance – to fresh street dance techniques.
Mediterranean Legends
Several groups, including The Art & Aesthetics Foundation (India) and ŠALCININKU S. MONIUŠKOS MENU MOKYKLA (Lithuania), also embarked on an unforgettable cultural journey through Spain, France, Monaco, and Italy as part of the Mediterranean Legends program, experiencing the rich traditions of four European countries while performing on international stages.
Grand Gala Concert and Awards Ceremony
On June 29, the festival concluded with a spectacular Gala Concert and Awards Ceremony at Pere Torrent Square in Lloret de Mar. The city center transformed into an open-air stage where the best festival performances were showcased once more, entertaining both participants’ supporters and local residents.
