Report of the International Festivals “Super Grand Prix” & “World Grand Prix” (October, 2025)

The autumn of 2025 brought to life one of the brightest cultural highlights of the Fiestalonia Milenio calendar — the Super Grand Prix and World Grand Prix festivals.
Held from October 22 to 27 in the very heart of the Costa Brava — the picturesque town of Lloret de Mar, the event gathered a remarkable constellation of talents from all over the world.

This season, the festival once again confirmed its international scale, attracting not only a growing number of participants but also a record number of countries representedBulgaria, Norway, Latvia, Croatia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Germany, Spain, France, Romania, Lebanon and Ukraine.
For several inspiring days, the city became the beating heart of creativity, rhythm, and harmony.

Dance Competition — The Magic of Movement

The festival program opened with the dance category, where soloists and ensembles from various nations presented both classical and modern choreographic works. On stage, spectators could witness a spectacular fusion of ballet grace, folk tradition, and contemporary expression.

The performances were evaluated by an internationally recognized panel of dance experts:

  • Mariam Turkmenbaeva – Professional choreographer and dancer. Choreographer for the shows X-Factor Ukraine, Ukraine’s Got Talent, and So You Think You Can Dance. Front performer of the famous band Quest Pistols Show. Studied at top dance schools in New York and Los Angeles.
  • Yulia Kruglyak – The first Slavic flamenco performer in Spain with over 30 years of stage experience. Recognized choreographer and flamenco instructor who teaches and inspires new generations of dancers around the world.
  • Marcos Martinez – Internationally acclaimed Hip-Hop trainer, choreographer, and artist, known for his impressive portfolio of television shows and major stage productions.

Each dance was evaluated according to the following criteria:
Artistic mastery and technique, compositional creativity, appearance and costume, and the artistic expression of the performance.

The stage of Lloret de Mar shone with passion and energy — every movement told a story.

See the vivid moments of the dance competition in our photo gallery below!

After the competition, participants attended a master class in Spanish flamenco conducted by jury member Yulia Kruglyak, where they had the chance to experience the true spirit and fire of Spain’s most passionate dance.

Vocal & Instrumental Competitions — The Power of Sound

In the second part of the festival day, the stage was filled with music — instrumentalists and vocalists from around the world performed in front of an esteemed panel of judges:

  • Xavier García Cardona — Conductor, pianist, and composer; graduate in orchestral conducting from the Conservatori del Liceu in Barcelona; artistic director of Estones de Clàssica and member of the Spanish Association of Choir Directors.
  • Joan Carles Capdevila Torné — Arranger, composer, studio singer, and teacher in the field of musical theatre. Experienced performer in choral, opera, and symphonic repertoires.
  • Bernardo Latini — Composer whose works have won 16 national awards in choral composition and arrangement competitions; published by music houses in Austria, Germany, the USA, and Argentina.

The instrumental performances amazed with their versatility — the piano, flute, and even traditional Kazakh instruments like the dombra and zhetygen echoed through the theater hall.
Performers were judged by the criteria of performance technique, artistic expression, and difficulty of repertoire.

The vocal performances offered a kaleidoscope of genres — from folk and ethnic songs to modern pop and classical works.
Judges evaluated participants based on intonation purity, timbre beauty, vocal strength, stage culture, and technical mastery.

World Grand Prix – The Voice of Harmony

The third competition program — World Grand Prix — took place in one of Lloret de Mar’s most magnificent venues, the Sant Romà Church.
Known for its exceptional acoustics, this church has long been a favorite location for Fiestalonia’s choral performances. Every note here resonates perfectly, reaching deep into the hearts of the audience.

Although the choral competition was not the largest in terms of participants this year, the quality of performance was on par with Fiestalonia’s most prestigious vocal contests — Golden Voices of Montserrat, Golden Voices of Barcelona, and World of Choirs.

The concert featured choirs from three countries, representing three unique traditions of choral art:

  • Koret Diandre / Norway — Conductor: Guro Gravem Johansen
  • Female Choir “Laiksne” / Latvia — Conductor: Ināra Bērziņa, Accompanist: Simona Sunepa
  • KUD Učka Matulji / Croatia — Conductor: Saša Matovina

After the performances, choirs were invited to a creative workshop led by jury member Bernardo Latini, who introduced participants to the art of sound improvisation.
Together, the singers recreated the sounds of the Amazon rainforest in an enchanting performance of “3 Cantos Nativos dos Indios Kraó” — a moment that beautifully symbolized unity through music.

Gala Concert & Awards Ceremony

The following day, the stage of Lloret de Mar Theatre hosted the Grand Gala Concert, featuring the most outstanding performances of the entire festival week.
Dance, vocal, choral, instrumental, and visual arts all came together in a breathtaking final show.
The audience could also admire an exhibition of visual artworks created by participants of the ART category, displayed in the theater throughout the festival days.

The highlight of the evening was the Awards Ceremony, where all winners were honored for their achievements.
The Grand Prix of the Festival was awarded to the dance ensemble ALBAYAN & KINANTHI BUDAYA from Indonesia, led by choreographer Muhamad Ogi Ariyansah.
Congratulations to all participants — your creativity made this festival truly unforgettable!
