Report of “Sea Sun Festival” (May, 2024)

Artists, actors, vocalists, dancers, and musicians arrived in Lloret de Mar, Spain, on April 28th to create their wave of energy and creativity on the Costa Brava coast. The city’s most vibrant festival took place under a light rain, but it didn’t stop its participants from sharing their culture with all the spectators. How was it? Watch the video report on the official Fiestalonia YouTube channel, subscribe, and don’t miss the latest news on the recent events.

The program of the “Sea Sun Festival” was so extensive that the competition day had to be divided into two blocks. The jury carefully and critically evaluated the participants for a total of 6 hours.

Instrumentalists, vocalists, and performers of original genres were the first to take the stage. Among the newcomers were those who had already tested their skills in competitions organized by Fiestalonia Milenio. Both classical piano performances and performances on traditional Kazakh string instruments were observed by the audience and the jury. For example, the DUO “ALAU” (Sadyk Aissulu and Sadyk Ayanat) from Almaty performed the composition “Halyk auenderi” on a classical instrument called Zhetigen.

Among the vocalists, there were many participants from the younger age group. Children under 12 performed famous hits in front of a large audience.

Participants in the original genre presented small theatrical productions to the jury. Special recognition was given to a participant from the Kazakhstan Intellectual School “Bayterek”Amirkhan Begaly. His monologue “Sick” looked too realistic to actually excuse him from school. That was the essence of his performance.
