In April 2025, the Lord Byng Senior Chamber Choir from Vancouver, Canada, won the Grand Prix at the prestigious international choral competition Golden Voices of Montserrat, held in Spain.
Under the direction of Lisa Lan, an alumna of the same school, the choir performed a selection of works showcasing exceptional technical skill and emotional depth. Their performance received the highest possible score — 100 points — securing them the festival’s top award.
Upon returning home, the choir members shared their experiences live on CTV, speaking about their journey to victory and the significance of this achievement for themselves and their school.
